I visited this museum as part of a tour I did of Denmark, Sweden and Norway. If you like old preserved buildings, you should enjoy this museum. They have a number of fascinating old buildings to explore. They also have some nice shops selling various things. I bought some old fashioned peppermints which I enjoyed. Arhus was a port visited by during our July cruise on Holland America's ship the Noordam. Wow, what a beautiful site. Our visit to Den Gamle By was a highlight of our trip. A really fascinating place. Apart from looking at the interesting exteriors, I became absorbed in the exhibits inside the buildings and spent far too much time in just a few, then had no time to see all of them.
