We have just returned from a ski holiday in Ruka. We stayed in a log cabin in the forest. I need not have worried about there being a lack of snow , there was lots when we arrived and it snowed every night. Because day light is limited you get to ski for longer than in other parts of Europe... more

We booked a week's skiing in Ruka through Crystal and stayed at the Karhun Maja Lodge, a log cabin set in a forest clearing. We arrived on Easter Sunday, 16 April and had wonderful weather.
