one of the best things to do around the cairns area... The tour guides are really informative. The place is so cute you cant help but love it! it is well worth a visit. more

Paronella Park is an old (by Australian standards) ruined castle set up in the Queensland rainforest which was set up and lived in by somebody who wanted to copy the style of castle in his homeland back in the 1800s. It is a beautiful location to visit and definitely worth it if you're in the area. Make sure you take... more

We visited Paronella Park as a result of a recommendation from the information centre in Mission Beach. It is a privately funded restoration project, not financially supported by the government. It is 40 mins from Mission beach and 1.5 hours from Cairns - we found a lack of signposting approaching from Mission Beach, but once on Japoonvale Road you can't... more
