I opted to do my reef snorkelling with Wavelength as they take only snorkellers so don't spend all their time assisting novice divers. The team on the boat were awesome, so friendly, helpful and patient with all the beginners. With a much smaller group than some of the more well-known tours, we were able to have a small diversion on... more

Our family of 5 including 2 teenagers recently visited Port Douglas and after deciding we would all snorkle rather than mess with diving we were directed to Wavelength as their tour is purely snorkel. They carry 30 passengers, we liked the small numbers as some of the larger concerns take 2 or 3 times that many and I couldn't imagine... more

We have just returned from our trip to Port Douglas and would say that our Wavelength Tour was the highlight. We had some initial trepidation with snorkelling, being beginners, but the staff on board made us feel very at ease and provided support both in and out of the water. It was an incredibly rough day to be going to... more

OK - I must start this off with saying we did not do a tour with wavelength. We tried, they tried to comply but it just was not to be. But wavelength went above and beyond it's duty to help us out. We learned the day (5 minutes to be exact) that we were leaving for our trip, that they... more

Snorkeling on the reef is special. Fluffy and Dan and Wavelength made it specialer. ;) They know what they're talking about and they spend their time looking after (i) everyone together and (ii) each person individually, as much as they possibly can. All of our questions and excitements were answered with enthusiasm, grace and care. Don't take a camera. Buy... more

I cannot recommend Wavelength highly enough. The boat takes 30 people out to 3 different reef sights and provides an excellent lunch and free marine biology "lessons" throughout the day courtesy of "Fluffy" the on board marine biologist. On previous tours we've just been pointed out to sea and and left on our own. Not so with wavelength, the crew... more

What a day! Ive been on a few of the big charters that ship you in and out like cattle, and can say Wavelength are the best for a more fun, casual and informative day out. Thier an original charter and true dedicated locals who made us feel genuinely welcome and were more than happy to share thier love and... more

We took wavelength charters out a few weeks ago (early April) and were very pleased. While the wrong season the snorkeling was great. We found everyone who was a part of wavelength to be exceptional. Fluffy the marine biologist is flirty, fun, occasionaly brusque, and very informational. I forget the other guys name but he is good natured and helpful.... more

I give these guys the highest recommendation I possibly can. My family and I had a fantastic day on the boat back in Aug 2007. We toured 5-weeks around Queensland, NT and Sydney. The tour was one of the best days of all - right up there with the Kata Tjuta walk, and sunset at Ubirr in Kakadu. What a... more

With 4+ options for snorkeling out of Port Douglas, Wavelength was the only dedicated snorkeling provider I could locate. They have the most number of sites to visit, so they can offer the best variety. They only carry 30 people max, and with 3 crew you can get personal attention, unlike with the other services that carry 200+. Because they... more
