Spent a beautiful morning wandering through this wonderful park. I got to the zoo shortly after it opened on a Sunday morning at 9:00 and entered through a gate near the elephant exhibit. Was blown away by the gardens and enjoyed seeing the animals and exhibits. more

My sister and I absolutely loved this zoo! There were so many different animals to see and we couldn't believe how close you actually can get to the animals. I'm not sure if it was because we spoke a different language than what the animals are used to (i.e. English), but the gorillas were so interested in us. They can... more

Spent a couple of hours in the zoo, the weather was very pleasant for March, and the animals seemed well cared for. It was very cheap and a map etc was provided with the entrance fee. There were no english translations (I know - it's ignorant, we should not expect everything in English), but this would be a welcome addition.... more

Set within the beautiful City Park, behind Heroes Square, Budapest Zoo is an absolute must for everyone, it's quite old fashioned in style but all the nicer for being so and at a cost of £3.50 ea.
