We caught the local bus to the museum and were totally amazed at the planning that went into the whole project. Starting off in 1924, with the purpose of transporting a home from each of the four areas of Latvia to what is represented on-site today is just wonderful. This is a great place to spend half a day. There is plenty to see and the surroundings are nice. Everything was well maintained, even the toilets were surprisingly clean. You can buy a map at the gate, it makes sure that you see everything and is only a few cents. Whilst food is available at the museum, we would... more
