This was one of my very favorite things that we did on our trip. I thought it was worth every penny!!!! my only regret is that I didn't go there first thing in the morning, because the couple hours before closing wasn't long enough! I LOVED the Pulitzer prize exhibit, which was probably my favorite. My husband had to pull... more

I’ve never done a review on a museum before. This one was so bad that I felt it my duty to warn the general public. Apparently the Newseum recently moved from it’s old home outside of D.C. to a an enormous, multi-billion dollar center located within walking distance of the Capitol and Museum of Art. Entry will cost you $20pp.... more

I visited the Newseum on Pennsylvania Ave in Washington DC on August 13th 2008. I was in Washington for some sight seeing with my sister (we are both in our mid 30's) and my daughter who is 14 years old. We were looking forward to visiting this museum for a number of reasons, but most importantly because we are the... more

Great Experience. The 3d movie was fun. They had a special exhibit on the FBI with lots of stuff from the FBI Museum(which I think is closed to the public now). A great observation deck looking down Penn. Ave. Dont miss it. more

This was our favorite musuem that we went to on the trip. It is great for both guys and girls, kids and adults. The exhibits are interesting and interactive. Even though it cost $20, it is worth it! Don't forget to go up to the top level and get a picture of your group with the capitol. It is my... more

We contemplated going to this at first due to the expense, but were so glad we did. In fact we even returned later that day for a second go around. Divided into 6 floors carefully laid out. Can see an excellent view of the Capitol from the top floor. Had an 11 year old with us who enjoyed the experience... more

I visited the Newseum last week with a 12 and 13 year old. We arrived shortly after they opened at about 9:20 and had to leave when they closed. We had only planned to stay for 2-3 hours - and we didn't even get to see everything. This is definitely a must see! Don't miss the temporary exhibit in the... more

Wow this place defines cool! We were in Virginia staying with relatives for 3 nights over the Memorial Day weekend and on the Saturday they took us into DC as there was a new 'Newseum' that hadn't been open long and they'd bought us all tickets. There were 4 adults and 2 kids in our party and we all had... more

Because of a cancellation on my recent DC trip, I decided to fill the hole in my agenda with a visit to the newly re-opened Newseum. I'm so glad I did. Now in it's new location in DC (right next to the Canadian Embassy with a terrific view of the Capitol), it was a fabulous stop. My three favorite aspects... more

This museum makes a great addition to the high caliber museums that already exist in the District. The greatest drawback, however, is the cost, which seems high when so many of the attractions here are free. The typical cost is around $18.00 for an adult. Still the architecture of the building is wonderful, the exhibits amazing, and the view superb.... more
