Recently I was in Washington DC for my first time. I found the City Segway Tour on TripAdvisor as a highly rated attraction. It cost $70 for a 3 hour tour. (A credit card is required to ensure a damage deposit that is cancelled at the end of the tour) This is an excellent way to get your bearings around... more

First, of the fact that they don't allow children under age 16. This put my family in the uncomfortable position of having to leave our 6'0", 15 year old son at the hotel while we went on the tour. Also, beware of the price. I understand that the segways are a novelty, but for four people, it was $280, and... more

Thanks for recently visiting City Segway Tours of Washington, DC. I wanted to take a brief moment to respond to your review. First, I am sorry for the inconvenience that was caused by our age restriction. The District of Columbia enforces the minimum age for Segway riders and has set that age at 16 years old. We would love to...

Great tour and great fun. The evening tour in the summer when it has cooled down a bit is excellent. After a while you are zipping along like a pro on the Segway, seeing almost all worth seeing. Take the tour at the beginning of your visit to get a good overview of the attractions. more

Although we are locals, we thought it would be fun for the family (2 adults, 2 older teens) to do a Segway tour of the city. I chose the evening tour (6pm - 9pm) in order to avoid the heat of an August day and to avoid a lot of the pedestrian traffic. This turned out to be absolutely the... more

My husband and I went on an evening Segway tour on a Friday night. It was awesome! Their orientation, instruction, and guides are exactly what any novice rider need to get comfortable on the Segway. We highly recommend our guide - Matthew - very knowledgeable and helpful. Hit all the highlights and then some. The Segways were lots of fun... more

This tour was great fun. Once you get the hang of driving the segway(about 15 min) They are a blast to drive. Its a stop and shoot snaps tour. You dont get to go into any of the monuments. There is a lot of walking between monuments in DC. In July at mid-day it can be a little hellish but... more

We loved seeing Washington on the Segway! We were able to cover so much ground and see many sites in a short period of time. Our guide was very knowledgeable of both the individual sites and of general Washington DC history. The Segways are fun to ride! We would definitely do this again! more

While visiting Washington DC about a week ago, I went on a City Segways tour. It was everything that i expected, and then some! We visited all the sites that I wanted to see such as the White House, and the Capitol building. Not only do you get great views of all the main monuments and buildings, but you do... more

The very, very best way to see the monuments in D.C. is by segway at night. The contrast of the white monuments against the black velvet sky is breathtaking. Add to this a brilliant commentary by our segway tour guide, Megan McCoy and you have the perfect time in D.C!!! Ms. McCoy is well versed in both D.C. history and... more

This is the best way to see the highlights of Washington. What a blast. It's easy and the most fun you can have in 3 hours. Karen was our guide and was lots of fun and had great information to share. I wish we had done this first thing when we got to DC. more
