I've spent 2 days in the park and seen about everything there is to see in the park. Great to see the elephants, the leopard, giraffes, zebras, ... One thing I would advise is to spend the night on the Kajumbura Hill, around you are several lakes (in the deep) and you get a fantastic sunrise or sunset and evening... more

Spent half a day in the park with a buddy, driver and guide after about a 2 hour drive east of Kigali. My friend and I had to pay about $37 US dollars each for the driver, car, ORTPN guide and ourselves. The Akagera National Park is absolutely beautiful and a must for anyone staying in Rwanda. The safaris are reasonably priced and worth every penny.
