this is the most heart wrenching experience i had. you simply would wonder why on earth human beings could think of so many ways to torture another fellow being and kill them without mercy. The exterior of the building is so ordinary and tells nothing of the cruelty it housed. It is a must visit place in Phnom Penh. more

Whilst heart wrenching, do not miss this place. Employ a guide, which you can pick up for about 45 minutes at the entrance, to understand better the full horror of the place. So important to understand Cambodia's recent history - which this portrays effectively in graphic detail. more

Such a powerful place to visit and a good reminder of the dark side of the human race. We will never forget and let's work to make sure it never happens again. more

If you want to understand recent events that have shaped this country, this is a must. It pulls no punches and is a grim reminder of past troubles. Try to get there before 10am or 3pm as they run a movie for 1 hour at these times that recounts the experience of one family; this helps put everything else into... more

Visit it and try to understand what happened in Cambodia. It is probably the most heart breaking museum I have ever been too but really worth going to see. more

It's not for the very sensitive, the museum is a stark, chilling place even on the hottest of Cambodian days. There is room after room of gut wrenching photos of the victims, tears, blood and all. They don't try to make it softer on the emotions, nor should then, there are still chains bolted to the ground, visible bloodstains and... more
