An absolute must-see. The mahouts really interact well with the elephants, and the elephants are of course gorgeous. You can get really close to the water, or enjoy a panoramic view from a very nice restaurant just above. When I was there, a newly-married couple were having some wedding photos done, so that was an added bonus! Recommended, Sunday morning... more

I was fortunate enought to have the opportunity to spend a week working at the Orphange -Thanks to winning it on a TV show here in the UK (Richard and Judy) As you would expect the TV camers offered me extra opportunities but for anyone visiting it is just wonderful. Almost 60 elephants of ALL ages are there, just wandering... more

We got to the elephant orphanage just in time to watch them go in the water for bathing. It's a good thing to stand away from the water as they would spray not just each other. I laughed and laughed at a baby elephant, who really didn't seem to want to be in the water, but was constantly being pushed... more
