I visited India for the 1st time in 2005 and fell truly in love with the country and its people. Whilst in Delhi (for only 1day) we visited Red Fort, India Gate,Kinari Bazaar, Jama Masjid and the most wonderful and mystical Qutb Minar - I wanted to stay here forever it was fabulous. The Qutab Minar site is located to the south of Delhi. The main focal point is a very large tower. This was the location of the first mosque in India. The tower and surrounding buildings were partly built using materials taken from several Hindu temples that were knocked down. This helps explain some of the architecture.
