We arrived at the Kremlin early in an attempt to beat the queues, but found that there was already huge queues outside. Although I highly recommend visiting the Kremlin for the historical value, be aware that a visit to the Kremlin will be marked with long lines, inefficiency, and mass confusion. The Kremlin can be reached by busses 2, 44 and 16. It is close to Metro Station Ploshchad Revolyutski and inside Red Square. First off, the attractions within the Kremlin walls are highly interesting and pretty BUT after arranging and paying for advance tickets they still make you wait for many hours outside in the open regardless of the weather in order to get to their metal detector-gates which are manned by blank faced, slow moving soldiers who definitely are in no hurry... more
