We took a taxi from Petronas Towers to Batu Caves journey times depend on traffic which was quite heavy when we went so it took about an hour I think. If you are going to climb the 5 billion (maybe not quite that many!) steps to the caves make sure you take lots of water and stop as it is... more

What can one say about this place...travelled there on a filthy mini bus with a driver that could hardly speak english courtesy of the Malaysian Tourist Dept. The tour was cheap so I didn't expect much but was very disappointed indeed. I guess the first thing I noticed was the smell. This place stinks & is so dirty. I can't... more

We visited the Batu Caves in August 2007. Definitely would recommend it if you are staying in or near KL and if you are in decent physical shape! You really want to climb the 271 steps to get to the top. Walk through the open caves and see the shrines. There is also the Dark Cave, which you must visit... more

We arrived and my stepson was immediately overcharged for a disposable camera (RM 50, when you can get one at KLCC for 25... more

The Batu Caves is about 15 kms north of Kuala Lumpur and is worth going to. Admission is free, although if you are driving in or getting a taxi to the Batu Caves, it'll cost 2 Malaysian Ringgits for car park. To get to the caves, you have to walk up 272 steps, Yes, 272 steps and they are pretty... more

Batu Caves, its basically a Hindu Temple in Caves (Limestone caves). At the main enterance, on the stairs, in the caves, you will see lots of Hand made Stone Statues of Hindu God's. The outlook of the caves is very good. To get into caves, you need to climb the 272 stairs, yes rite 272 stairs, then only you will... more
