We booked this at our hotel for $18, but saw brokers in town as high as $28. It was a little inconvenient when we came there with our tickets already and just swimsuits, they charge $5 for a locker (just another opportunity to get $$ sucked out of your pocket), and even $5 deposit for each towel (refundable on towels... more

This is the most relaxing thing you'll ever experience! Your body just falls asleep. The beautiful hot springs in La Fortuna are the perfect way to end a busy day of ziplining. I had the most lovely evening just chilling with my travelling buddies in the many different luxurious pools of varying temperatures, heated by the local Volcano! A definate... more

After going there on a tour with CAT tours , a housekeeping attendant came in to the shower room and stole our brand new digital camera, with witnesses. The front office workers insisted that housekeeping is not allowed to come into the shower room while there are guests in there, and just short of calling us outright out liars denided... more

Do not be fooled by any photos or adds. This place is a complete rip off. It is cheaper, yet no better than Tabacon, the ultimate tourist trap in the area. We were there on an off day in the off season, and still the service was terrible. The slides were shut down, the fountains were not on, no attendant... more

Baldi Hotsprings is a waste of time and money. We arrived at the reception and ask if they had a couple rooms for the night, the manager(or that what he calls himself) starting muttering something about I have got one but not two and we definately needed two rooms (2 couples travelling) when we asked him again he said sure... more

If you're between the ages of 12 and 20, then Baldi Hot Springs is for you. Loud, blaring music is piped in over speakers throughout the pools. (so much for relaxation). There is a huge waterslide that is reminiscant of the water parks at Disney. And true to form, has lines that wrap around other pools and springs. All of... more

I was reading a few reviews previous to this one and I must say, they are right on target. So I'll start with the good. The grounds are beautiful. I took loads of pictures and they look like I was in a heavenly oasis. There are 25 pools includeing a waterslide. I didnt try the slide. My most favorite was... more

My boyfriend and I stayed 1 night at Bladi Hot Springs. I felt that I could have the same experience just hanging out in a heated pool which many hotel offer (Volcano Lodge for one). CONS: 1. We had a room that was close to the front (room 1205) so you can hear the music blaring. We didn't realize this... more

I'm costarican and I hadn't visited Arenal since 2000, so I was very impressed for the changes in the area. One of the nicest surprises was Baldi Hot Springs: The place is huge, they have arround 25 pools, beautiful gardens and diferent environments. Note: I read some reviews about how crouded was the place. In my case we visited the... more

I returned from Costa Rica two days ago and while there visited Baldi. I do not understand where all these negative reviews were coming from. If you explore the grounds you will find quite a few secluded and quiet pools. We did not hear any loud music, and we found relaxing in the hot springs while looking at the volcano... more
