We loved going from hottest to coldest. I thought there were more than the 5 or 6 there. It was really crowded... That was the only thing I didn't enjoy... but I guess the secret's out. Everyone knows this place. My husband loved the hottest one... I couldn't stand it after 5-10 minutes. I enjoyed dunking into the coldest one... more

This was a great experience toward the end of our vacation last week. After hiking, shopping, swimming, surfing, horseback riding, canopy tour, and canyoning all week, our bones were a little tired! These hot springs were wonderful. We had to wait three days to get a reservation, so I would definitely recommend planning this ahead of time. We were there... more

We decided to visit Eco Thermales hot springs because it was significantly less expensive than Tabacon. It was beautiful, relaxing and not very crowded. Cost was $41 per person and included a great lunch. more

I would obviously have hated Tabacon, because I thought even this place was way too crowded. It is a lovely setting, and I enjoyed coming through the huge unmarked gates, but then we got there and it was absolutely packed with American tourists. Dinner was just ok. We did enjoy sitting under the waterfall and enjoyed testing the temperatures of... more

Living in Costa Rica I have been to Arenal many times and have seen the droves of tourists lined up to get into the "other" hot springs in the area. This really had turned me off to ever going BUT after reading all of the positive reviews here about Eco Thermales we decided to go. It was worth it, not... more

This was a great way to end a day of adventure. We visited the springs in on December 12, 2007. The hot springs are well maintained and very clean. The atmosphere is relaxing and the water very refreshing. The staff was so helpful and very kind. The food was very good and the pricing for everything was fair. The best... more

After a long day, it was quite a treat to "soak" in the thermals. The ambience of the place, being smaller, quiet, and drinks on the honor system. I appreciate Silencio del Campo making this wonderful suggestion! more

We visited Eco Termales in September of 2006. We absolutely LOVED them. We had heard bad reviews about Tabacon being overpriced, so we asked our hotel for a recommendation (we stayed at Volcano Lodge) and they pointed us here. We were there in low season, so there was hardly anyone there. Very relaxing, and the drinks were yummy and reasonably... more

It seems like the other posters have covered it all. We went to Eco Termales earlier this month and had a fantastic time there. Based on other reviews, we chose to skip the other two hot springs for something less commercial. We booked for the evening time slot and included dinner. It was a very relaxing time. It rained when... more

My husband and I had a fabulous Sunday morning (10 am to 1 pm) at Eco Thermales. We found the phone number and made reservations in advance (we went during Holy Week before Easter and Tabacon was booked) but we are so pleased we didn´t end up at Tabacon!!! Talk about secluded and fabulous!! When we arrived we were the... more
