We have approximately 65 bats of 8 species, all tropical fruit-eating and nectar-feeding ("hummingbats") species. Visitors are taken on a guided tour where they not only see, but hear the echolocation calls of flying bats. Recently opened and still expanding, The Bat Jungle is a wonderful way to learn about bats and see them in a great viewing venue. Our one hour tour was very educational and fun. I would recommend this to all age groups! more

The Bat Jungle is a wonderful way to spend an hour on a rainy afternoon in Monteverde! We happen to think bats are cool but even if you don't it is a truly fascinating tour and you will learn a lot and enjoy yourself.
