We stayed at the El Puesto Sur Cabanas in El Chalten in Jan 06. They are great cabins made by the owner (the brother of the guy who lives there and manages it). They have a kitchen with fridge, stove, dishes and silverware. They are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. They don't have phone or internet, but they do have... more

El Chalten, a tiny town of about 200 inhabitants, is at the foot of Mount Fitz Roy. The place becomes heavily inhabited in the summer months (December to March) when trekkers make their way into Parque Nacional Los Glaciares, to explore the many lagoons, lakes, glaciers and mountains within.
