We camped at Doane Valley Campground for one day. The state park is small but very close to Escondido so it is a good weekend getaway. Lots of bugs though. Luckily we bought a new bottle of insect repellent (a large size!) so we have to keep spraying ourselves including our 1.5 yrs old girl. The camp site we resevered... more

Took my two daughters camping over this past summer and stayed at the Doane Valley Campground. Some of the campsites were really close together and on a slope. We stayed close to the creek and our site was mostly flat. Parking isn't the best. You had to go down stairs to get to the site and we didn't want to... more
