I expected rows of fruits and vegetables at the Farmer's Market -- this is definitely an L.A. version of a farmer's market -- upscale gourmet shops flanked by restaurants and attached to a mall (The Grove). There is still plenty to see and eat here though. We headed to Charlie's Coffee Shop and had a typical, but filling greasy spoon... more

In the center of what seems to be several cities coexisting in the same place, Farmers' Market is indeed L.A.'s democratic heart. On a balmy evening or a rainy afternoon, you'll find yourself transported and connected to the warm side of the dream factory. Here young, old, trendy, rich, poor, dreamers, drifters lose themselves under the old umbrellas and, over... more

If you like to just sit and relax and watch people this the place for you. Grab a cup of coffee or tea and sit back and watch the world walk by. Supposedly an area the Hollywood stars are known to be seen. James Dean ate his last breakfast here. This is a truly diverse shopping area. The up-scale The... more

We spent a few hours here and loved walking around the stalls. If you get a chance have a meal at "Dupars". It had fantastic service and great meals!. The market had everything you might want, from souvenirs to gourmet foods. It is easily accessible by Public Transport and has the Grove outdoor shopping centre next to it. Definitely worth... more

We parked in a lot for the Farmer's Market. A sign was posted at the entrance to the lot saying "first 2 hours FREE." We knew we wouldn't be longer than 2 hours so we stuck the little ticket under the visor and went into the market. When we left the lot, the woman at the booth charged us $8.00... more

We stopped by around lunchtime and had a great time with the kids. Lots of interesting stalls. We ate at Monsieur Marcels and it was very good. Some of the places seemed better than others, but worth the trip. Definitely pick up some toffee at the English Toffee Company stall - amazing. more

We went here to buy souveniers, bagels, ice cream, and produce. Everything was reasonably priced and a good value. The food was delicious, and there was a good selection of souveniers. A good place to kill time. more

The Farmer's Market may be nearest thing you may get to sample some genuine food and vegetable whilst you are visiting Los Angeles. Although it does not consist of any actual visiting farmers, it consists of a range of market stall ranging from food & drink, toys, clothes and souvenirs. Annexed with it is The Grove which is an upmarket... more

This was so much fun! There are underground little markets, places to eat and shopping galore. It almost makes you feel like you are in mexico or Seattle's Pikes Fish market. Just very cozy down there, and so much to buy! We bought some very ripe strawberries that we at on the way home..they were delicious and very cheap. Only... more
