Travelled here the week of July 11. Fun activities for all ages. The girls (7 and 9) enjoyed the Bungee jump, even though I thought it was too short. We took the chairlift to the top, hiked and had lunch at the Solstice Cafe. It was a perfect day and just the right price ($50 for four of us). The... more

Since our family had only gone skiing/snowboarding once before (in VA) we did tons of research comparing Copper to Keystone, Breck, Snowbird, Lake Tahoe, Buttermilk and several other resorts. We went during Spring Break. We have 2 sons, ages 10 and 13 who wanted to learn both skiing and snowboarding. We rented a 1 BDRM condo direct from an owner... more

I first skied at Copper Mountain in 1986. In the last 10 years, I have taken may family there for 5 separate ski weeks. The physical layout of the mountain is very good in that it tends to keep the different levels of skiers separated. The major problem is that there is a bottleneck at the bottom in the central... more

Arrived at Copper Mountain on 3/13/2008, stayed at Copper Junction (two bedroom condo) in the village. GREAT location. Literally 100 feet to the American Eagle lift. The condo was a bit dated but the space was perfect for a party of 6 or more. The Bee-Line Advantage ticket (compliments of the lodging company) was quite a treat. There was never... more

We have been to Copper Mountain twice now, February 2006 and December 07/January 08. The skiing is great for families, with a wide variety of terrain to challenge everyone. Even for us "green" types, there were more than enough runs to keep us going for several days. The mountain is also pretty spread out, so even busy days don't seem... more

I went skiing at Copper Mountain in December 2006. As a beginner, my friends and I signed up for Ski Shool. Boy, were we glad we did that!! Our motto was "I will not let the 5 year olds intimidate me!" and we spent our first day on the mountain on the bunny slopes learning the fundamentals. more

A group of 4 of us from Ireland travelled to copper mountain from the 8th - 15th of February. Over all it was a great week, fab snow, on the downside the altitude got to 3 out of the 4, headaches, nausea etc 1 actually had to have an oxygen tank delivered to the room which was a real pity.... more

We didn't know where we would be skiing when we arrived in Summit County with so many wonderful choices! Thankfully, Frontier Airlines helped us make up our minds by offering 2 for 1 lift tickets ($81 total for 2 people) at Copper (as well as Winter Park) with no black out dates. (Simply take your boarding stub to the ticket... more

My kids and I recently spent 4 days skiing at Copper Mountain with another Dad and his kids, from 12/17 to 12/20. The conditions were great and we stayed in the Mountain Plaza Condos located in the Central Village which was an easy walk to the lifts.....which I would recommend....it was geat since we had kids and they could break... more

The Tubing Hill is so scary! We chose this resort versus the other one in Colorado which has tubing lanes because the lanes were longer and have varying degrees of pitch (some slower, some faster lanes). The problem is - they ice down the lanes so when you go down (even the slow lane) you go very fast and fly... more
