We had to cut our visit here short, and regretted it, so I recommend you allow several hours to take advantage of all there is to see and do here. Be sure to park in the Tybee Island Historical Society Lighthouse museum lot- your $6 admission will cover parking, so that you can save the $3 parking fee charged across... more

I have been living in Savannah, GA for 2 1/2 years now and have decided to start discovering where I live on the weekends. I always come to the beach here but have never actually visited the lighthouse. Parking is free at the lighthouse so be sure to park there and not at Fort Screven although gettting into Fort Screven... more

The view from the top was gorgeous and worth it. We paid for the museum and lighthouse but didn't know where... more

At $6 a person, the admission seemed a little steep at first, but it does include admission to the Tybee Museum, which is located across the parking lot. The grounds contain the lighthouse, the restored keeper's house and the restored keeper's kitchen. The keeper's kitchen contained most of the information regarding the history of the lighthouse and the events that... more

We really enjoyed the Tybee Island Lighthouse. You pay one price for the lighthouse and the museum. You can climb all the way to the top of the lighthouse (178 steps, but there's a place to rest every 25 steps). more
