We had to cut our visit here short, and regretted it, so I recommend you allow several hours to take advantage of all there is to see and do here. Be sure to park in the Tybee Island Historical Society Lighthouse museum lot- your $6 admission will cover parking, so that you can save the $3 parking fee charged across... more
The view is great from the top. The lighthouse and museum gives a great view of the island history. more
I have been living in Savannah, GA for 2 1/2 years now and have decided to start discovering where I live on the weekends. The keeper's kitchen contained most of the information regarding the history of the lighthouse and the events that... more
We really enjoyed the Tybee Island Lighthouse. You pay one price for the lighthouse and the museum. You can climb all the way to the top of the lighthouse (178 steps, but there's a place to rest every 25 steps). more
