“Wonderful way to spend an hour or two”

Upon entering, the bookstore is on the right and has many neat things to look at and purchase. We bought some Lewis and Clark books with wonderful nature photos. The museum itself is small and contained yet memorable and easy to get through in an hour or two. Friendly staff greet you once you enter. Take the train tour afterwards... more

This museum is unusually cheap -- I believe something like $2 for adults. It takes about an hour to walk through the entire museum. The self-guided tour begins with a room full of maps, historic weapons and items of daily life. Idaho has some fascinating history and anyone interested in the Old West will love this.
