I'll say up front that this is a place for people who like horses, who want to see horses and know more about horses. It's -all- about horses. If you are just looking for generic thrill rides, and don't care about horses, it could be a little dull. But if you like horses, it will be anywhere from interesting to... more

This is a great place for any avid horse lover. There is a wide variety of things to see and do at the park. You can take in a show, visit the museum, or visit many of the other educational parts of the park. The International Museum of the Horse is a must see, although be aware, in preparation for... more

We just returned from a trip to Kentucky Horse Park. Hats Off day, so it was free. It's a good thingit was free because it sure would not have been worth paying to get in. We took our 3 year old granddaughter and daughter-in-law. They were so ecxcited, my granddaughter could not wait for the pony rides. Well, we ask... more

This is a very big place. However, I think the cost to get in is way too high compared to what there is to do. Mostly you walk around a look at horses. The horseback riding was worth the price. That was the highlight of our day there. You have to pay to get in and then pay to go... more

We are an active family with a 4 and 6 year old. I wanted a place where they could run, see some horses up close -this was IT! They were able to brush a pony, go on a pony ride and see all the horses they wanted to. After 3 hours they were exhausted and fell asleep before we left... more

So I will address this upfront, we are not horse people. But we still really enjoyed the park. It was very interesting to see the variety of breeds. We attended all of the shows and enjoyed each of them. The grounds were beautiful and girls really enjoyed petting the miniature horses. If you purchase an Entertainment Book for the Lexington... more

Visited and stayed at the campground next door - to Horse Park. Was really neat visiting there after seeing the movie about Sea Biscuit. Learned a lot about HOW BIG the stride of the famous horses - as they are displayed on the grounds with poles. more

We have visited this place a few times now, and drive thru it ($3) each time we pass thru Lexington, as the grounds and horses are beautiful. This time we decided to tour it again, though it seems to have lost its edge. There is a show (30 minutes) on 5 different breeds of horse, and a commentary of each... more

If you admire horses then you are going to absolutely LOVE the Kentucky Horse Park located in Lexington, KY. I just finished a two week horse show there with my eleven year old daughter, who is a show jumper, and it was delightful! There is so much to do if you are a fan of the horse world. From trail... more
