Never having seen the Niagara Falls and being on a road trip across the country, we decided to come and say hi to one of the more famous landmarks of our wonderful land this July. It is rather like dropping in on a relative of whom you have heard much but don't know at all. The Falls themselves are crazy... more

We visited the falls on the 12th April and had a fantastic time! We were staying in Toronto and had considered taking one of the many tours on offer, but with 3 kids we felt it would be too long a day for them, especially as some of the tours had winery visits etc. In the end we hired a... more

We did both sides of the falls in late October The Canadian Side Is very touristy and has almost evolved into a mini Vegas. There are several large hotels, casinos, wax museums, many restaurants and other attractions. There is a small park right along the falls for viewing wich is nice and a gift shop. This park has a great... more

My wife and I traveled to Niagara for the first time in Sept. 07, and at first I didn't really care to go ( to romantic). We live in southern CA and flew to Washington DC and then rented a car and traveled NE to Penn, PA and then off to NY. We saw so much beautiful country and did... more

Warning: DO NOT buy a day pass online nor expect to get in without staying at one of the hotels. You will not get in. When we were told our day passes we purchased online the night before weren't enough to let us in, the manager told us that the hotels book everything ahead of time and you will only... more

As a UK expat living near the Falls this is a personal review. I love the place. It is 'tacky' with huge casinos, rip off restaurants and streets of 'hokey' amusements. Go a few streets back and you are in 'red neck' country, all dead SUV's and beer bellys on Harleys. If you've done Blackpool this will show you how... more

We just got back from Niagara falls, Ny. I feel it was really worth looking at both sides. My best view was from walking over the bridge to Canada. more

The state park in Niagara Falls, NY is a great place to visit. It is very scenic with walking trails, gardens and overlooks to both the American and Canadian falls. It is less crowded than the Canadian side and a better value (less expensive). There are a number of hotels (recommend the Hampton Inn) within walking distance as well as... more

The falls are something you HAVE to experience in person. Pictures, videos, etc. just don't cut it. But here is some friendly advice to help make your trip more enjoyable and know what to expect. First of all, everyone says that the Canadian side of the falls is better. This is only true for the 'full view' of the falls.... more
