We were positively surprised by this park. Beforehand I had read reviews which said this was better than Disneyland, and I must say that I agree. The lines were significantly shorter even though we were there later in the season. One thing which sets this park apart from both Disneyland and Efteling is that it is jam packed with rides.... more

Our Family (2 Adults and 2 Children aged 12 & 14) are theme park addicts and we have been to many theme parks around the world. We go to theme parks with the aim of trying as many rides as we can and going on rides that the whole family can enjoy together. We want rides that offer adrenalin (for... more

My family and I stayed at Europa Park for 3 days in June 2007. It was in the middle of a 9 week Europe trip and it was a great chance to give the kids ( and myself ) a break from thousands of years of history. Many people said " Why not Disneyland Paris?"and my simple answer was "We're... more

Like the previous reviewer, we also visited Europa Park via a competition in the local paper. Check in was quick and simple. Our room was on the ground floor, which I was slightly worried about, but my fears were allayed with lock and tilt patio doors, lockable wardrobe and the mosquito screens. We ate in the Castillo buffet which was... more

We were fortunate enough to get a free three night break at Europa Park, presumably so that we could spread the word about how great this place is. We travelled from Manchester on one of the first packages to fly directly into Lahr airport which is about 30 minutes from the park. On arrival at Lahr we were quickly through... more

I have just returned from Europa Park with my 8 year old daughter. We traveled from London to Karsruhe-Baden Airport on a cheap flight. You can hire a car at the airport and there is a good selection of car hire companies there to choose from. Travel tip. If flying from London please note that Karsruhe-Baden airport isn't very near... more

The Colloseo is a four star rated hotel and in my opinion, the best theme hotel in Europe. No expense spared in the creation of this hotel. Located across the road from Europa Park, the hotel boasts an indoor/outdoor pool and kids pool area. There is also a fantastic indoor kids play area with the outside water fountain keeping them... more

What a brilliant park and hotels - my only advice is to book well ahead as it gets busy, and book with a UK company as communication with them can be poor, we used [--] who were great! more
