The Dallas Zoo is great! In 2005 they opened 4 new exhibits, (my favorite being Bug U! And they will open at least 4 new ones in 2006. Was very disappointed in the zoo. Did not have many basic zoo animals such as walrus, hippos, zebras, alligators, and penguins. The tiger exhibit was closed, chimps/goriallas exhibit was closed, and the monorail was closed because it had rained earlier in the day. The Dallas Zoo is sad to visit for adults but children will love it. The employees are trying, the animals look healthy but the architecture and infrastructure are badly outdated and obviously minimally maintained.
