In 2007 Caprock Canyons State Park opened a brand new visitors center, and a companion and I took one of their guided hikes in January to check it out. I visited on May 27, 2006. This park offers some classic western landscapes that you typically find in places like Utah and Arizona, except that the scale is much smaller at Caprock Canyons.
