“Surprise in a hillresort”

These gardens have had a recent uplift and are very pleasant to walk around with nice surprises. The avary is very well kept and unexpectedly modern. The swamp trail is another extension that does surprise in this hillresort. The park is sponsored by the Woodland travel agency that also runs the nearby Kandawgyi Lodge hotel. more

A lovely green national park and groomed botanical garden in the quiet hill station town of Maymyo/Pyin Oo Lwin. Lovely to spend an afternoon there after the long drive from Mandalay, especially if you've been around the hectic markets and traffic of Mandalay or the heat of Pagan. My husband was feeling rather rough after whatever he ate somewhere so... more
