We toured Bent's Fort over spring break. We were lucky that the weather was cool, not cold, then. And there were few visitors, so we really felt as though we were 'back in time' like the traders and trappers of old. It's a great history site to take the kids. Bent’s Old Fort is a historical treasure on the southeast Colorado plains. It makes a good stop if you have kids or are interested in the history of the American Southwest.
