This is one of those things that if you are in the area, go see it. The line seemed real long in the late moring, early afternoon, so we went at about 4pm and there was no line outside. You also have to go through a security check. When you go in the building, there is a lot to read... more

I recently returned from a touring holiday, and this venue was on my "must-do" list. I can only endorse the opinions of other reviewers regarding security. There are ways of doing your job in an efficient manner without resorting to outright rudeness. I'm not sure how I managed to bite my tongue and resist giving certain personnel an abbreviated lesson... more

On a recent trip to philly, I figured I have to see the liberty bell. There was no charge for admission. Thank god! It took us 5 minutes to get through security, which is a good thing i guess. I spent more time in the security line that whole tour. The bell seems so small. :-D It is a must... more

Okay, I know it's just a bell, but it is a symbol of freedom for our country. And that is also the reason for all the security. Those who don't like our freedom do like to go after symbols of our freedom. So, wait in line to go through security, suck it up, don't bring anything sharp in with you,... more

The Libery Bell Center was very informative - really explained why the Libert y bell is more than JUST a bell. Showed how it is a true symbol of freedom for Americans and people around the world. When you get up to the bell - yeah - its just a big bell - you have a much better understanding of... more

Its a bell. thats about it. overall it was very lame. The line looks monsterous but it actually moves pretty quickly since people dont spend much time in there. The security guards act like its NYC or an airport, but what can you do. Once you get in you go through a hall of stories about what different people thought... more

On a recent trip to Philly I was keen to show my husband the Liberty Bell which has moved to a new location since my last visit. Visitors are still required to enter via the 'old' premises which is where the security is located. Once cleared, you walk across to the new building. I believed that as international travellers, we... more

The Liberty Bell Center and Independence Hall tour give an interesting glimpse into the history of these two symbols of America's freedom. Seeing the Liberty Bell and learning about it's history throughout the years is an educational journey that is worth the time. Be prepared, however, on busy days to wait a short while if you would like your picture... more

My two kids and I visited here on Aug. 3, 2004. You first have to go through a security checkpoint just like at an airport. Then you proceed through a small exhibit of the story of the Liberty Bell. There is a small film also. Then you see the bell. You have to pass through here if you have tickets... more
