The F.Q. is one of the most unique, history-filled, beautiful areas of any city I've visited in the US. If you're a history-buff it's one of the oldest and greatest places in the US to visit for North American history. If you're a party animal, Bourbon St. puts Vegas to shame. Worst vacation ever. Bourbon St. is nothing but strip clubs, mediocre rock music and over zealous cops trying to create revenue for a city that sadly has very little to offer. My most memorable picture is of FEMA trailors sitting in front of half built homes. Donate your money.....but vacation somewhere else. more

There is so much to do, see and eat in and around the French Quarter. I didn't see any hurricane damage from the French Quarter to the Garden District, to the airport (if you want to see it, go see it, but if you don't, you won't be bombarded with it).
