We booked this tour for our 17 yr old's birthday and made the choice to book with Ellwood on the strength of the reviews here. We had very high expectations but were not disappointed. We booked a personal day tour which was tailored to our differing levels of knowledge. From the initial briefing in St Mere-Eglise to the final moments... more

My wife and I enjoyed a one-day tour of the Normandy WWII battle sites with Elwood of D-Day Battle Tours in mid-May 2008 with my in-laws (4 people total) and had an absolute blast. Our tour began with a 90-minute general WWII history lesson in Elwood's house, which is itself a significant piece of D-Day history. With Elwood as our... more

Add our names to the long list of admirers of Ellwood von Siebold and his D-Day Battle Tours. We and our eighteen year old son and his two buddies took the two day tour with him and we are extremely glad we added the extra day. We basically hung onto everything he said. Ellwood is an awesome storyteller and many... more

Elwood of DDay Battle tours www.ddaybattletours.com took our family of 7 on a tour of the American sector of the Normandy invasion. He absolutely captivated all 3 generations including our teenagers! His ability to focus our attention in a very large D-Day area with limited time available was very valuable. It's an inspiring location and his knowledge, focus and passion... more

We wanted to spend our final day of our two week European trip visiting the beaches of Normandy. Through last minute planning we ended up booking an all day tour with Overlord tours. This was hands down both my wife and I's favorite day of the trip. Guides, Oliver and Alan both were extremely knowledgeable. Not only did we get... more

We had a shared private tour on May 14, 2008 with Mr. Ellwood Von Seibold. It was one of the best days of our 12 day trip to France. Ellwood's energy level is nonstop and like any good professor he holds the student's attention with every new story or bit of information he tells. I never knew most of the... more

Our day with D-Day Battle Tours, led by Ellwood von Seibold, was the highlight of a week in France for 13 of us who were lucky enough to find the right tour! The knowledge Ellwood has goes deeper than what the textbooks say. He literally makes D-Day come alive and gives everyone an appreciation of what young men and women... more

We booked with D-Day battle tours and our guide was Ellwood. We were a group of 7, ranging in age from 9-76 (including two teenage boys). Ellwood's tour was fantastic! Very informational, but what was best was that through stories he has gathered, he really grabbed everyone's attention and kept it throughout the roughly 8.5 hour tour. He really brings... more

Our three generation travel group (my 65/70 year old parents, my 9 year old son and I) visited Paris and Normandy in early April. Hands down, the D-day tour with Ellwood von Seibold was the highlight of our trip. Ellwood provided a wonderful tour that appealed to all of us. He personalized the tour, and even provided more indepth descriptions... more

My husband and I took my parents for a week to Paris. My mother had never been across the big pond and my father had only been to southern Italy during his time with the US Navy. Since my father and I are both veterans and he has always said he'd like to visit the site of the D-Day Invasion... more
