We were priviledged to tour the museum on Friday, October 12, 2007. Being a history major from the University of Alabama, this tour into the past was beyond all of my expectations. I have a special interest in the War Between the States as my Great, Great Grandfather served with the 37th Mississippi Infantry C.S.A. From those days we have... more

Visited the museum in August and found that one of the best museums I have ever visited. It was opened in 2005 and has all modern technology used for the enjoyment of visitors. Allow at least four hours to go through various sections of the museum. One can easily spend the full day reading the literature and watching documentary films.... more

We took our sons (ages 7, 4 and 1) to the Lincoln Museum this past weekend. I asked my two oldest kids what they liked best about the museum and they answered, "Everything". The two shows were excellent because they were interesting and high tech. I did see some kids leaving both shows because they were scared. My boys don't... more

What a great tribute to Abraham Lincoln this wonderful museum is! One can easily spend a full day going through all the exhibits and reading all the information. Don't miss the video "Civil War in Four Minutes." It shows the casualty count by geographical areas and is a moving testimony to the cost of war. The figures are staggering. "Ghosts... more

Just a beautiful museum! Hint - when you see the Eyes of Lincoln, sit in the back. There are three huge screens and when we sat in the front row, we were constantly turning our heads to try and see all three screens as they were all different at times. By sitting in the back, you should be able to... more

As a near-local, I felt I could come see this museum "any time", and as a result didn't bother until now. I wasn't in much of a hurry to visit, also, as I'd read a number of reviews describing the place as a Disney-fied Lincoln theme park. Being a sort of museum snob, and a big fan of Lincoln, I... more

A Day Trip to The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum was one of the highlights of our recent trip to St. Louis. Allow plenty of time for your visit. I would recommend arriving as close to opening as you can. There are two theatre presentations included in the admission. "Lincoln's Eye's" is a multi-screen presentation with special effects. "Ghosts in the... more
