I'm not sure why one of the reviewer's would say the park is not a great tourist area. First of all, the park is in the middle of downtown Atlanta and it's lovely. Secondly, it's DIRECTLY next to The New World of Coca-Cola (1.5 hr. tour), Georgia Aquarium (2-4 hrs. tour), Imagine Children's Museum and the CNN center. Also, the... more

It is a great park to hang out and relax in, maybe to have a picnic in or take the kids to. The ring fountains are fun, especially on a hot day. But as for things to do for tourists, it doesn't have much to do. The CNN Center is near by but that is about it. more

The park was very beautiful and well maintained. It isn't nearly as big as I thought it might be. There is a nice water fountain area where kids can and do get wet. There is an ampitheater, so I assume there are concerts held there. It was a nice area just to walk through and relax. We stopped at the... more

This park is a great place for the kids to run around a bit and blow off some steam. There are two fabulous playgrounds (one is all accessible, even for kids with disabilities), and lots of open green space to run in. When there isn't a water shortage, there are fountains to play in. This is a nice place for... more

Its fun to see the water features and the olympic themed statues and its worth a walk through if you are in the area. But certainly not worth a special visit. If you spend an hour (tops) you will have seen everything to see. more

For Final Four weekend, Centennial Olympic Park was absolutely hopping - there was a concert stage set up and people were milling about all of Saturday and Sunday. However, even without the events of Final Four weekend going on, it still struck me as a great public space for people to enjoy. The park is no Central Park or anything... more

Centennial Park in itself is not a real destination unless you have children. On a hot summer day it is a perfect place for them to cool off in the interactive fountains, which are timed and choreographed to musical numbers. There are always scores of children in bathing suits or shorts adn tshirt running through and playing in the fountains... more

I don't think the Olympics was held at this park, like what the previous tripadvisor thought. There are a bunch of tiles on the pathways with names on them. At first I thought that these tiles had the names of the Olympic participants on them, but when I asked locals, the names were of people who bought a tile there.... more

When we visited there were no events so I am unable to comment as to how this place is when there are events taking place. Not much to see apart from the Olympic rings which are water fountain - if it's a hot day you can run around in them to cool down. If you like flags, you can take... more
