Very small aquarium. We got the audio tour for free with a discount, but it's certainly not necessary. The shark exhibit, seals and jellyfish were interesting. In general, it just seemed overpriced and a waste of time that could have been spent enjoying the wildlife in person! more

It's certainly not the world's largest aquarium, but it is a great place. It is well worth the 8 bucks to get in. There are all kinds of deep sea creatures, and so not so deep sea, that I was unfamiliar with. It takes about an hour to pass through, and be sure to grab the head set up front... more

Tanks of different tropical fishes, jellyfishes, sharks, corals and also 2 sea lions performing tricks during feeding time. Great place to hang out for an hour to two. $9/person comes w/audio wand. more

What a nice little aquarium! Great displays, really colorful and clear with active animals (which indicates they are being well cared for). Nifty rare animals that we could never see while snorkeling, plus a lot of education about the sea creatures and marine ecology. We don't have kids, but I'm sure they'd get a bang out of this! We didn't... more

I just returned from Hawaii on July 23, 2007, and took a break from the swimming and shopping of Waikiki to visit the Waikiki Aquarium. What a pleasant surprise. The admission price was only $9 and that included an audio tour phone. A real bargain for Waikiki or Honolulu. The tanks and displays were very nice and the water clean.... more

We visited the aquarium as a nice afternoon stop on a rainy day and it was simply okay. I've seen better and worse aquariums although the admission was a bit much for what you actually get to see. Its nice to see once if you want to see a variety of the tropical fish that most of us dont often... more

As a marine aquarist, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this low key, modest, facility which seems to improve each time we visit. Especially interesting was the live Nautilus shells (estimated time on Earth: 5 million years) exhibit. (This is one of the few facilities to successfully breed this facinating creature). A new and extensive exhibit of unusual jellyfish invertibrates... more

Yes, this is a very small aquarium, BUT they also charge you a reasonable entry price! I think this is a LOT better than the Scripps aquarium in San Diego which charges a whole LOT more! I think they've done a great job making really beautiful exhibits and they've interspersed some really nice audio/visual information in between the tanks. more

Visited the aquarium with our 18 month old during a downpour, and were not disappointed. Great, if small, collection of marine life, much better value than Sea Life Park. Look for admission discounts. more

The Waikiki Aquarium is very small. It takes about 15 minutes to see it all. If you want to see an aquarium and will be going to Maui that's the one to see. more
