I made advanced reservations (2 days ahead) for the last guided tour at 11:15 on a Friday. The group is limited to 20 people, so it is a somewhat intimate setting. I totally disagree!!! We took the tour (4 yrs ago) and it was very interesting. The place was spotless as well. It's one of my favorite memories of Oahu. I don't know what was up with your trip............. more

unfortunately for u this will not be good for u. im angered to say that this place was soooo bad and dirty that they wont even let you in ( well atleast they didnt let me in) so ya. all that i can say is that people shouldnt go here because of the poor service and unreliability. more

The Palace is definitely worth visiting if you have an extra day and want to learn more about the history of Hawaiian Royalty. It can be problematic getting there and parking if you're not already staying in Honolulu. I ended up paying $18 at the parking garage, almost matching the $20 tour price.
