1. Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum

A must do journey. You really need all day to give the place the respect it deserves. Ive not taken a guide both times i've been, preferring to walk around the sites at my own pace and with my own thoughts.
You can get there by taking a mini bus or train, I have taken the train both times and had no problems. |

| This museum is in Kazimierz which is the old Jewish part of the city. It is an interesting museum focusing on people who risked their lives to save people probably destined for the death camps during the war. A positive place to visit, well worth making the time. |

| Salt has been mined here for hundreds of years. It doesn't sound very interesting, but is actually very good - the carvings are amazing. You can get here by mini bus or train, ive used the train both times and found it fine. Be aware, sometimes the photos you take dont come out very well - something to consider as you have to pay extra to take photos down there! |

4. Main Market Square (Rynek Glowny)
| One of the largest market squares in Europe with lots of restaurants in and around the square. Enjoy walking through the Cloth Hall looking at all the stalls and pick up an inyourpocket guide at the tourist information centre there (you will have to ask). |
