Absolute MUST try - Amazing trip in the rainforest using zip lines and skybridges for about 2 or 3 km high up in the treetop canopy. Whole thing takes about 5 hours. Very fun day out for all the family or sports people looking for adventure. Totally new concept. I have done it three times now.
Ave price: $345
Another must try - Sunday brunch with live jazz. Pricey at 1000bht but well worth it - best buffet I have ever eaten. Free Mojitos. 5 people for price of 4.
Help the elephants. Elephant conservation centre. Interact and bathe these amazing creatures.
4. Trekking to see the Hilltribes
Trekking in the mountains, see hilltribes and nature. can be a bit fishbowl
5. White water rafting
Rafting down rapids, for those who like a bit of danger on their vacation.
6. Rock climbing in Chiang Mai
Rock climbing is fun, spend a day or two learning and visit the caves. I did this on a combination tour with the flight of the gibbon. treetopasia.com
7. Mountain biking
Downhill biking in the national park. Lots of wildlife. Great fun, again I did this in conjunction with the flight of the gibbon. We stayed with a homestay program in Mae Kompong. Lovely experience. Not to be missed.
