Australia Zoo run by Steve Irwin.Lovely clean zoo with a variety of animals where the kids can get up really close.Great shows and grounds too.About 1/2 hour drive from Noosa.
The best markets I have ever been too.All locally made stuff but the biggest variety from clothes to food to jewellery to household items.Heaps of things for the kids to do to.They are on in a gorgeous little town called Eumundi about 20mins drive from Noosa every Wednesday and Saturday.
3. Camel riding on the Northshore
A 1 and 1/2 hour ride on a camel along the beach over on the northshore about 5 mins from Noosa. You drive across and put your car on the ferry. The camels are clean well maintained and well mannered. There are longer and shorter rides and the kids will love it.
4. National Park Walk
The national park in Noosa is one of the most beautiful in the world.Park in hastings street and walk along the beach boardwalk with the water on one side and the natural bush on the other. There are a variety of walks from 1/2 and hour to all day.Tie it in with a visit to the Hasting Street shopping and restuarant precinct or the beach.Have lunch at Cafe Le Monde.
5. Aussie World
Aussie world is a miniture theme park with a variety of old fashioned rides (ferriswheel, dodgems etc).Only about $14 for 2 hours of unlimited rides.Very nice little place next door to the Ettamogah Pub (an old Aussie outback chain pub).Great place to stop on the way back to Noosa from Australia Zoo (very close).
6. Sunshine Plaza
Beautiful shopping centre built around a manmade canal.Plenty of shops for mum and peddle boats, movie theatre and playground for the kids. The food court is set by the water. Great day out in Maroochydore which is 1/2 hour drive from Noosa.
Underwater world is a great kid friendly Aquarium in Mooloolaba(1/2 hr drive from Noosa ,near Maroochydore). They have a huge variety of fish and other sea creatures and great show and tell programs for the kids.
