Intercontinental San Juan Resort. Great service, beautiful accomodations and good location make it a great place to stay during your visit to San Juan.
2. Day at the beach (Condado Beach)
Spend your first day in Puerto Rico relaxing on Condado beach. This beautiful spot offers white sand beaches, crystal clear water and a perfect placet o relax.
Spend your second day visiting this famous neighborhood. The beautiful architecture and cobble stone streets make you feel like you are back in time. This area has several plazas and buildings of interest. Allow at least a full day to enjoy and capture the essence of the Old World. The next 5 places are some of the most interesting places to see in Old San Juan or in it's surrounding areas.
Located in the Southern tip of Old San Juan, this esplanade offers beautiful views of San Juan. Enjoy the work of local artisans who display and sell their work there while hearing in the background live local music.
This masive six level fort overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and San Juan Bay.
Built to defend the city, this fort features five independent units, each connected by moat and tunnel.
The Cathedral was built in the 1520's and it is an authentic and rare New World example of medieval architecture.
Originally built as a defense fort, La Frotaleza later became the official Governor's Residence.
9. Arecibo - Camuy Caves (day trip)
This is the perfect sightseeing day trip from San Juan. From Arecibi, on the north shore, go to Rio Camuy Cave Park. This incredible 268-acre park is the site of the great subterranean caverns carved out by the Camuy River over one million years ago.
10. El Yunque National Forrest
Located 40 km southeast of San Juan, this tropical rainforest offers jungle-like ambience of lush foliage, shadowy paths, spectacular waterfalls, and rare wildlife.
After your visit to the El Yunque, head to Luquillo Beach for an afternoon of ralaxation and fun. Luquillo Beach is one of Puerto Rico's most famous and most visited tourist attractions. Some 80 or 90 kiosks are lined up, one after the other, along the road leading to Luquillo Beach , and they sell everything from bathing costumes to ice-cream and ice-cold beer to fresh and delicious seafood.
After visiting Luquillo Beach head to Csa Flamboyant Bead and Breakfast to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Take the ferry to Culebra from Playa Fajarado. This island is a paradise of white-sand beaches. This is a perfect place to relax or snorkel and explore some of the most stunning coral reef formations in the Caribbean. Spend your last 2 days here before returing to Puerto Rico to catch your flight back.
