The Coral Reef is a true Carrbiean Delight. In my eyes it is the only true alternative to the 6* Sandy Lane. We arrived and were instantly greeted personally by the owners. The receptionists are very helpful and all the staff posses the true carribean charm. The room was faultless, clean, and well equipped apart from the missing television. The... more

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at this beautiful hotel. The O'Hara family and their excellent staff looked after us superbly throughout our stay. We stayed in a luxury junior suite with a large balcony overlooking the sea where we took breakfast each morning and cocktails late afternoons; always the best times of the day in the Caribbean.... more

Having booked at the last moment for a Christmas/New Year getaway I was unsure what we were going to get for our money. However the Coral Reef Club in Barbados was a Christmas present to die for. Firstly the room was spotless and the baby cot was already set-up in the room (if you don't have kids this is something... more

We had not visited Barbados for a number of years as we had decided we preferred the less developed atmosphere of Antigua. On our last couple of visits to Barbados we had stayed at the Sandpiper, which was full on this occasion, so we opted for its larger sister hotel – The Coral Reef Club. Run and maintained to the... more

Returned today after 7 nights at this marvellous hotel. If you want "cutting edge" modern design in an hotel don't come here (or probably Barbados at all). This hotel was established in 1952 - but it is immaculately maintained and has an elegant but informal air to it. All ages should feel comfortable here - but if you want a... more

Like other reviewers have commented I don't get the negative reviews on this hotel either. We've stayed there for a number of years and everytime the hotel exceeds our expectations. The staff are delightful and friendly - they will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and safe. The hotel is spotless - the rooms are SO... more

Strictly for the discerning! I have been lucky enough to stay at The Coral Reef club twice this year. On both occasions the standards were excellent, staff efficient and friendly and the ambience relaxing. The O'Hara family who own and run this hotel, add their own brand of magic to make this my favourite hotel worldwide. Coral Reef is a... more

I really do not get the negative comments on this site for this luxury hotel. I've travelled the world and yes, there is always room for improvement but this is simply world class. Friendly owners take a personal interest in your happiness, the rooms especially the Plantation suites are second to none, the staff are professional yet incredibly genuine and... more

We were treated very badly at this hotel. We were given a mosi-infested room at back of property in a stinky swamp, probably as we had a toddler with us. Had to kick up a big fuss to be moved. Did not get the separate room for the child we booked. All the best rooms, tables, sun-beds etc etc were... more
