Varadero: Paradisus Princesa del Mar Date: June 20 - 27, 2008 Reviewer: Mireille, Vancouver, Canada This is a beautiful adults only Resort. We had a wonderful stay in a junior suite. The Resort is huge. On one end are the higher deluxe suites with butlers and their own restaurant. Unfortunately that beautiful area is marred by a big stagnant pond... more

We stayed at the PPDM for 10 nights as part of our twin centre honeymoon to Cuba and I have to say that it exceeded all our expectations. We arrived there after 18 hours of travelling and the view out towards the pool area from the lobby blew us away! The resort is beautifully landscaped and is a perfect setting... more

We travelled from Havana to Varadero by coach on 21st June for an 11 nights stay at the PPDM and we were the last of a few drop offs and every time someone got dropped off, the hotel was more grand than the last so we were slightly optimistic that ours maybe nice…… Nice!!!! It was beautiful. We left the... more

A last minute stay as the hurracane blew away our first choice in Mexico! There were only 60 odd gusest which made the experiance strange and the hotel therefore was almost closed down, and gave us a Fawlty Towers stay, we laughed so much as the cuban attemepts at European Cuisne. Most guests were Canadian, and we all seemed to... more

My husband and I stayed at the PPDM for a belated honeymoon and our stay was fantastic (from Toronto, Canada). We flew with Cubana Air. We were a little concerned before our trip, but the airline was great. The plane was spacious. They served drinks ($) and a decent meal. Once we had passed the passport checks, our luggage were... more

As with all of our recent trips we used TripAdvisor as an invaluable source of information when helping us find somewhere to stay that suited our personal needs. From the reviews on here Paradisus Princessa del Mar seemed to tick all the boxes. We holidayed in Cuba 02/05/08 to 16/05/08, stopping three nights in Havana and the rest in Varadero.... more

After going through all the reviews prior to our trip with a fine comb, I had to write a comment on our stay. Basically, I think the best advise is to read the positive reviews, the negative reviews and decide what's important for you. My husband and I had the most wonderful time at the Princesa del Mar. When we... more
