From the reviews I read, it seems there was some improvment! The view is fantastic, we had one of the small studios over the reception. Unfortunately, it was not spotless and some of the furniture is in poor condition. In September 2007 we had a 12 day stay in Domaine de la Pointe Batterie (Guadeloupe/Deshaies). Attracted by the nice photos on the hotels website, we decided to make a fix reservation for a 12 day stay. This was a big mistake. The hotel claims payment in advance. We stayed at the "Domaine de la Pointe Batterie" in December 2006 for 2 weeks. We had a studio for 2 persons, with a comfortable bedroom, a simple but nice bathroom and little kitchenette on the terrace. The view from the terrace into the little bay of Deshaies is beautiful, so make sure to get one of the upper bungalows... more
