The external environment and the size of the room make Montjoli a hotel but the bed, the covers, the bathroom, the closet, the TV with less than 5 US channels make it more like a motel. I have stayed several times at Mont-Joli and I have stayed at various other hotels not only in Cap-Haitien, but Jacmel and Port-au-Prince. Bar none... except perhaps Hotel Montana in Port-au-Prince, Mont-Joli is the best hotel in Haiti, comparable to any other great locally owned hotels in the caribbean. more
