Need to relax? Check. Want to swim in crystal clear & clean waters? Check. Looking for "personal" service? Check. Massage/Spa? Check. Tennis courts...2 of them. Cozy rooms? Done. Water sports? Plenty. The hotel employees are excellent. They will all remember your name within hours. Very hospitable, friendly, courteous & of course professional. The bad: #1 - A little too quiet.... more

Well, like just about everyone else that's reviewed the RP here, we can only rave about our recent trip in late April for 7 days. We have been all over the Caribbean all-inclusives, but the RP is truly in a class by itself as an intimate, lodge-style resort. We booked a Honeymoon Oceanview Suite and room 301 became one of... more

This was a HUGE choice to make considering it was for my honeymoon. I let my "husband" choose Jamacia (wonder why?) and I was left to pick our hotel. I chose RP and we are so happy we did. On the way to the hotel we were starving so the driver took us to a place to eat for some... more

Let me start out by recognizing the staff -- everyone was courteous and they really go out of their way and try to get everything that you request for. We asked for coconut juice a few times, and one guy actually went to climb the tree to pick coconuts just for us. I couldn't have asked for more. Throughout our... more

My wife and I stayed at Royal Plantation from May 4 to May 11 on our Honeymoon. We are a young American couple in our mid 20s. We were on the Royal Plan. Before You Book: Check Royal Plantation’s website and their prices before using a travel agent or online booking service. Get the royal plan. Drinks are at least... more

This is a very nice hotel and the all-inclusive is one of the better deals I've seen in the Caribbean. That being said, I felt it did not live up to the gushing reviews on TripAdvisor. We arrived in Ocho Rios without a hitch, courtesy of the hotel. We were immediately offered champagne with sugar cane, which was quite excellent.... more

I booked the hotel directly, which with USD/GBP rate makes this very good value at the moment. We flew into Kingston and were met by the driver who had us on the way with a cold beer in under 5 mins. Check in was very quick. Room was very good. Although on the photos this hotel looks a little old... more

Frist of all let me start by saying this was probably the best vacation in the carribean my husband and I have had. We arrived Feb 1 for 2 weeks. We were met by our driver Michael. He had cold beer and soft drinks waiting for us since it was quite hot (not that we were complaining!) We had a... more

Stayed with my mother and brother the first week of May. Looking for an upscale, classy, quiet resort. Rather than going into a long story, I will provide highlights. Pros: Beautiful Property, all the pictures you've seen are not exaggerated. Transfer from airport was delightful. Had to laugh at all the suckers cramming themselves into non-airconditioned busses and heading to... more

What a wonderful week. I would definately stay there again. there were a few bumps along the way but the staff more than made up for it. To begin there was no car for us at the airport and we had to share a car with another couple. It was fine. We booked the deluxce oceanfront room. When we saw... more
