We were married at Marina Cay and just returned to celebrate our anniversary - it is a truly special place. Once again, we stayed in the Lagoon Villa overlooking the reef where we enjoyed the authentic West Indes decor, open air layout, spectacular view of the reef from our balcony and outdoor shower. Alison greeted us like long-lost friends and... more

Marina Cay is a wonderful place, and I'm sure we will return in the future. Alison, the property manager, is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and she made sure we had a wonderful time. Any time we stopped by the office or saw her around the island, she’d answer our questions and listen to our stories from... more

We wanted to get away before the holidays, and based on the recommendations of our kids who'd eaten at the Pussers Marina Cay (PMC) restaurant before, we decided to reserve a hotel room there. Alison, the proprietor, was a great help with getting us a reservation, and greeted us promptly upon arrival. Don't think "hotel" - think instead of a... more

We were looking for quiet and relaxation and Marina Cay delivered ten fold. Food is good, snorkeling is great. We saw some really funky fish including a couple Sting Rays. I recommend two or three nights if you go to Tortola. more

Stayed at Marina cay 5 nights for 20 wedding anniversary! Had a wonderful time. Allison is one of the best Hostesses around. Property is nothing fancy, but well kept and food at resturant is second to none. If you stay several nights, plan day trips to different islands. Nightly views and morning sunrises are spectacular! more

Beautiful surroundings on a small island across from Trellis Bay. More than half of the island surrounded by a reef and lagoon. Nice snorkeling. However, honestly: the place has no beach. The only thing is in fact the sand covered restaurant patio near the water, including plastic hoses running criss-cross, ending with a sharp rock edge towards the water, all... more

Best place of our lives. We consider moving near Marina Cay!! (okay - I guess we'll just visit annually!) Once finding Marina Cay on the searches for the British Virgin Islands, I was lured with the great reviews. It seemed small in my mind, but after contacting and reading all of the trip advisor members whom enjoyed their stay there,... more

We stayed on Marina Cay the last four days of our honeymoon (July 23 – July 27, 2007). I booked the room based on the location and reviews here. I have to say that we were greatly disappointed. Of several complaints our largest was that despite being told otherwise, the ferry service was horrible and unreliable . The whole of... more

Normally we sail in the BVI but this year we had a "stink pot". First and last time. That and my wife was recovering from food poisoning and Marina Cay, which is one of our favourite anchorages, was a pleasant respite for two nights in a basic comfortable room with a very comfortable 7 foot wide bed and a beautiful... more

Hi there all my lovely guests!! Thank you all so much for the kind words and lovely photos. TractormanOxford, and everyone else I just had to share the news! About the slow breakfast and the grumpy wait staff serving it, well, in early May we had occasion to part company with 7 of our staff members!! Our chef, Tyrone has...

I stayed here for 5 days in early May. The villas are excellent and the lagoon is a terrific place to snorkel. Alison is a wonderful hostess and looked after our every need. The restaurant on site had a varied menu, including local items and all were beautifully presented and delicious. I have only one warning - you may become... more
