We were looking for bargain in the islands... Beef Island guest house is right on the beach! We could have easily spent our entire week without ever leaving this base. Snorkling, boarsailing and jus relaxin mon. Don't expect internet or room service. This is a real homey place to rest your head. While yor chillin on the Beach De Mongoose... more

As part of a two week island hopping trip through the Eastern Caribbean, I stayed overnight at the Beef Island Guest House. I had the place to myself, Suite 1, a King size bed and the run of the kitchen's guest stock of drinks. Comfy, clean and very tropical! It is only a few hundred yards from the EIS terminal... more

We had been vacationing on Virgin gorda and had an early morning flight from Tortola back home. We stayed at the Beef Island Guest house the last night of our trip because of the great location by the airport. Unfortunatley it was a Monday night and the restaurant was closed, we would have liked to experience the Mongoose. We were... more

That's the good news. Like good travelers, we read the above reviews and noted that they were highly polarized; loved it or didn't. We loved it. We wanted to wrap up a sailboat charter with someones else's cooking, a dry bed, and relaxed island atmosphere. We found it . The room was clean, comfortable and the owners very accomodating. (need... more

We stayed here the night we arrived and again the night before we left. Easy walk from the airport if you're not loaded down, even in the dark. The rooms are clean and comfortable, yet basic, and our hosts were great. Simon even went so far as to come in at 5:30 the morning of our departure to drive us... more

Staying at the Beef Island guest house is similar to staying at a relative's house. There are four or five large rooms with bathrooms which lead to a common living room and kitchen. All rooms are fairly nice, but it's not upscale (which is fine by me). The free breakfast is very welcome, and I found it suited my needs... more

The Beef Island Guest House is delightful. We ended our week long catamaran charter trip at the Guest House, the night before flying home. Owners Chris and Maryanne are wonderful hosts as well as Simon greeting us and taking care of our needs. Great food and company at the Tiki Bar...close to the airport and Aragorn Art studio. Bob and... more

Mike and Annette First thing...location on Trellis Bay right by the Ferry dock and the Airport is a big plus....Simon was very helpful, and he has a very friendly staff, who went out of their way to help us out. Caroline made our booking a breeze, and we were very grateful. We stayed the night before we had to leave... more

This is no 5 star hotel.. If you want easy living and a peaceful fun loving atmosphere with everything only a few minutes away, this is your place. Airport, 5 min walk; water, beautiful beach,or food, a 10 second walk; ferry service 5 minutes. Host & Hostess are into everything so get ready to do it yourself. Rooms are large,... more

When you're pricing hotels in the BVI, you have to bear in mind that the Josiah's Bay hostel (that's very bare-bones accommodation) charges $50/night. The Beef Island Guest House is a relatively inexpensive hotel. Set your expectations accordingly. We liked the big room with powerful fan, the homey feel, the availability of the fridge in the kitchen, and the 5-minute... more
