We concluded our BVI vacation at the Anegada Reef Hotel. Having traveled extensively in the BVI's, we were not anticipating luxury, but we were expecting cleanliness and the basics. This hotel provided both, we were happy with the room which was comfortably furnished and was stocked with a cooler, flashlight and bug spray. Each day it was perfectly cleaned and... more

We had a choice between two properties on this island, and I feel that we really lucked out with the Anegada Reef Hotel. We stayed for five nights in February, and took the full meal plan. Cost was $275 per night plus service. We were able to book a car ($55 per day + $20 per day insurance) to use... more

Visit this place is you want an authentic beach vacation with a real sense of isolation. Do not expect world-class luxury, but be assured of comfort and relaxation. Pack light, allow yourself time to adjust to island life, enjoy the people you will meet from on island and off, and you will have a wonderful time. The Anegada Reef Hotel... more

Anegada is great for some, but I can imagine plenty of people not liking it. There aren't many people on the island and not many tourists, most come on sailboats. My wife and I stayed here for a few nights and enjoyed the relaxation. The hotel is not fancy, but the location is a good one, this seems to be... more

Wife and I spent a most relaxing week with the Anegada Reef . While we had been to Anegada on day trips on previous BVI holidays (this was our fifth trip), we had never stayed over. In the past five years, we have stayed at over ten properties in the BVI, at all price ranges. At the end of this... more

My boyfriend decided to surprise me for my birthday by taking me to Anegada for the weekend. I am originally from St. Thomas, but I have never been to Anegada. The whole atmosphere of Anegada is very quiet, serene, and tranquil. I felt very welcomed by the hotel staff. They were warm, friendly, and most of all very hospitable. The... more

Wife & I stayed here 12/27/2005 thru 1/1/2006. Loved it. Great island to visit, very secluded. Great hotel. Rooms are OK (several being renovated); beaches very secluded & romantic. No nightlife, just being together for dinner & post-dinner drinks @ bar. GREAT bartenders. Very good food. Different crowd @ dinner each night, as the hotel is a frequent dinner stop... more

Our first visit for nearly twenty years found Anegada not quite the end of the world it was then, but still a lovely place to relax and forget the pace of the modern world. Last time we were the only boat, this time there were twenty, and this time we stayed at the hotel for two night. We found the... more

I took my son- 9years old- to Anegada for a few days of relaxation and swimming. We stayed at the Anegada Reef Hotel and had a very enjoyable stay. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful both with meals and making it to the airport with no time to spare the morning we left. Overall, we were looking for a lot... more

I would like to thank the person who wrote the latest review giving the Anegada Reef Hotel a "Terrible" rating. In my opinion it's grossly unfair; however, Anegada is such a paradise that it may discourage people to go there and that way it would remain a paradise and not risk getting over-run the way St. John has gotten. My... more
