We stayed at the Royal West Indies for 5 nights. The hotel had many positives but also many negatives. The grounds as reported by other writers were wonderful with lush flowers and trees. The quiet pool was very nice to relax and read a book. There are two pools on property, both very clean with shaded areas. The Mango Reef... more

We stayed here for our honeymoon from June 30th-July 4th. We loved everything about the stay. We arrived on a Monday and were invited to a "Beach Bar Happy Hour." We had free rum punch (some of the strongest on the island) and a sampling of some of the apps they served in the restaurant, Mango Reef. The staff was... more

The hotel was immaculately clean. Service was a little "island style" which I would describe as slow and forgetful, when requesting extra items needed in the room, but not so much that it affected how I felt about my stay. However, the food service at the restaraunt was served extremely fast for the islands or any restaurant. I really enjoyed... more

With over 15 visits to Grace Bay over the past 5 years, we would not stay anywhere other than the Royal West Indies. We love the beach and have found the location ideal on a section of the beach that is not crowded (unliked the Palms, Somerset, Alexandria, and Beaches' areas) and not loud or dustry from beach-front construction on... more

My boyfriend and I just came back from a two week stay at the RWI, where we had planned to just have a laid back and relaxed break away from partying and loads of people. The resort itself was lovely, the gardens and pools were beautiful and well maintained and gave a real colonial feel to the place which we... more

We stayed at the RWI for a week and found it to be an outstanding place if you are looking to relax. Great pools, beach access, and the landscaping is perfect. The white sand beach is the best we've ever been to, and we've been to many around the world. Our one bedroom condo was about 1000 sq ft with... more

We stayed at RWI for one week. We rented a combination room which had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen and living room. We also had two balconies! We had three teenagers and two adults on this vacation and were comfortable. Our travel agent suggested that we request the third floor because the view of the ocean is much better.... more

We travelled to this resort Feb 2 - 9th and had nothing but nice things to say about the resort. The food was very good and very resonably priced for th eisland and was probably the best choice for that combo of quality & price. We are in our early 40's and don't care for the type of food you... more

My husband and I stayed at the Royal West Indies from June 8-16. We travelled on USAirways, connecting through Charlotte with no difficulties or delays. We do not check luggage. We easily got a cab to the resort for $30. Our check-in went easily. The staff was helpful, offered us drinks, and brought our luggage to the room while explaining... more

I went to the RWI in January 2007 (Sorry for the late review) on my honeymoon. Now, I know on your honeymoon you are supposed to spend time with your new partner, relax after the production of a large wedding, etc. which we did do, but come Wednesday, I think we were both bored. In our mid 20's, we do... more
